Kutawato Multimedia Network

Kutawato Multimedia Network (KuMuNet) is a platform for discussion, exchange, collaboration and mutual learning among Civil Society Organizations towards effective peace advocacy through constructive media engagement to build a well-informed citizenry and to
empower communities in ways that will enable them to participate in the discourse on the Mindanao Context.

It is an open network which evolved from the series of multimedia workshops organized by the Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD) last 2009 for its partner organizations in Central Mindanao. Recognizing the need for a strategy peace advocacy to address gaps in the understanding of Mindanao conflict, these organizations formed this network as a platform to further their common advocacy issues influencing wider audience.

The network brings together communications and advocacy components of convening organizations through strategic communications skills sharing and development; strengthen each organizations advocacy work; develop collaborative advocacy/media strategy and effective civil society organizations-media engagement.
